The New IGEL UD5

The new IGEL UD5 thin client is fitted with a 1.3 GHz VIA Nano processor, a VX900 chipset and DDR3 RAM. This new, powerful configuration allows many simultaneous applications to be run efficiently, including resource-intensive protocols such as RemoteFX and PCoIP. This new model generation also offers an extended five-year hardware warranty free of charge and, for the first time, is now available with Microsoft Windows Embedded Standard 7.

All IGEL thin clients operated by end users come with a standard two-year warranty (starting from the date of delivery). Take advantage of our available free online registration and, by doing so, automatically extend the hardware warranty period for your IGEL thin clients in the UD2, UD3 and UD5 model series to five years, based on the original end-customer warranty agreement. Similarly, you can also extend the warranty period for the UD9 model series to three years.

When it comes to user experience, flexibility and safeguarding your investment, the new IGEL UD5 W7 thin client with Microsoft Windows Embedded Standard 7 is truly an impressive device. In addition to the premium visual experience of Windows Aero, Windows Media Player 12 and native support of Microsoft VDI by means of Windows RemoteFX, this high-performance and extremely energy efficient thin client is distinguished by its industry-leading deployment flexibility.

Our IGEL Universal Desktop Converter (UDC) software enables the migration of existing PC and thin client hardware to create a functionally standardized “IGEL Universal Desktop” thin client infrastructure. In addition to allowing standardized remote management, all migrated clients also allow access to cloud computing services, server-based-computing (SBC) applications and virtual desktop environments (VDI). Prices for the UDC start at just 29 euros per license, plus VAT.
