Standard warranty statementIGEL
Technology GmbH warrants its products to be free from defects in
material and workmanship for a period of two years after the date of
purchase. Refer to our website in the Service & Support area for
exact warranty terms and conditions. Date of purchase will be
determined by a valid proof of purchase. The criteria for a valid proof
of purchase is that it must be machine printed and include the
following information:
- Company Name and full address of Reseller
- Purchase date
- Model number(s) of product(s) purchased
- Serial number(s) of product(s) purchased
In the event that a valid proof of purchase is not available the warranty period will be determined by the date of manufacture.
Date of manufacture is based on a date-coded serial number printed on a label usually attached to the rear of each product.
Warranty extension by registeringThe standard warranty on IGEL Thin Client Terminals is two years.
The
Buyer Plan extends all the benefits that you receive during the first
and second year of ownership from the Manufacturer’s warranty, through
the third year of ownership. The Buyer Plan is free, however, the
"catch" is that you need to register your product within 90 days from
the date of purchase. Once you have registered with us, all of your
subsequently purchased IGEL terminals will automatically have their
warranty extended for one year as long as you can provide proof of
purchase! It’s that simple! Once we receive your IGEL Warranty
Registration, we will send you an according confirmation and you will
be covered for three years. The warranty extension is not associated
with any further costs.

or IGEL Thin-Client Terminal(s) warranty via the internet. Just fill
out the registration form at

Check your warranty statusWith your registered IGEL
serial number, you can query the warranty status of your IGEL products
anytime from our service department.
Warranty casePlease
retain proof of Purchase. Manufacturer warrants this product to be free
from defects and material and workmanship for a period of two (2) years
after the original date of customer purchase.
During this period
manufacturer will, at his option, either replace a defective product
with a new or rebuilt product or repair it with new or rebuilt Parts at
no Charge except as stated below.
Repair and exchange of IGEL productsThe
Parts or products that are replaced become the property of
manufacturer. To obtain Service under this limited warranty, deliver
the product, along with the dated proof of purchase, to manufacturer.
To use manufacturer’s factory Service, contact the RMA department at
IGEL Technology for an RMA number (Return Material Authorization).
Please follow this procedure:
- Pack it in its original shipping container (or equivalent).
- Write the RMA number visible on the adress label.
- Ship
the goods with freight payed to: IGEL Technology GmbH, Warenhouse,
Langenstrasse 78, 28195 Bremen, Germany. Provide insurance (or assume
the risk of loss or damage during shipment).
- Pay all shipping charges. IGEL will pay the return shipping charges.
The service department of IGEL Technology GmbH is at your disposal for with any queries.
Warranty exclusion reasons- Shipping or improper installation or maintenance.
- Misuse, Neglect, Adjustment or improper environment eg.
- Any cause other than ordinary commercial or industrial application.
- Repair, modification or installation of options or parts by anyone other than our Service Center.
- Excessive or inadequate heating or air conditioning, or electrical power failures, surges, or other irregularities.
This
limited hardware warranty does not cover any of the product’s hardware
that you or any third Party have modified or altered; you bear the sole
responsibility and liability of any such modification(s) or alteration.
MANUFACTURER
HEREBY DISCLAIMS ALL OTHER EXPRESS AND IMPLIED WARRANTIES FOR THIS
PRODUCT, INCLUDING THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A
PARTICULAR PURPOSE. SOME STATES AND COUNTRIES MAY NOT ALLOW THE
EXCLUSION OF IMPLIED WARRANTlES SO THE ABOVE LIMITATION MAY NOT APPLY
TO YOU. THIS LIMITED TWO-YEAR WARRANTY GIVES YOU SPECIFIC LEGAL RIGHTS,
AND YOU MAY ALSO HAVE OTHER RIGHTS WHICH MAY VARY FROM STATE TO STATE
OR COUNTRY TO COUNTRY.
