My Thin Client loses its complete settings. What can be the reason?

Network
Answer

Please firstly remove the configured Thin Client from your network and then let this start without a network connection. If the Thin Client then has saved all settings, you should check the following points:

This phenomenon can have several causes. Do you use PXE-Boot or BootP? If so, the Thin Client tries to get this configuration as default which obviously won’t work. This is why the Thin Client loses its settings. In order to stop this please go into the BIOS (Press "Del" at the start of the Thin Client). You should then deactivate LAN Boot ROM under Integrated Peripherals ? Onboard.

Another cause can be the use of the IGEL Remote Manager or the wrong assignment of a profile. You should accordingly check this in your IGEL Remote Manager.

In the IGEL Setup you can also forbid the Thin Client to get the Setup from a server. You can do this under:

Network > further network settings > File transfer > Deactivate server setup.
