IGEL Thin Clients with the TÜV/GS mark
of conformity are checked with regard to the safety-related
requirements of the low-voltage guideline of RWTÜV. In addition, the GS
mark of conformity certifies the high ergonomic requirements of all
IGEL Thin Client products.

The “CE mark of conformity” stands for “Communauté Européenne” (European Community). With
it, IGEL technology guarantees that the production of the IGEL Thin
Clients complies with the “EMC” (electromagnetic compatibility)
guidelines and that the low-voltage guideline applies to equipment
safety. Within the framework of EMC testing, the CE mark guarantees
that our products don’t generate any electromagnetic interference and
are adequately protected against external cross interference.

The FCC mark of conformity
confirms that an electronic device has been tested by the Federal
Communications commission (USA) for compliance with admissible high
frequencies. This mark is mandatory for electronic products that are
sold in the USA. This affects all devices that are equipped with a
microprocessor. Frequencies that are not shielded by means of an
appropriate casing or other measures may cause faults in other
equipment. There are 2 categories of FCC mark:
- Class A: For equipment that will be used exclusively in an industrial and
commercial environment. - Class B: For equipment that will also be used in residential areas.
