What do the various boot modes mean in the boot menu of an IGEL Linux based Thin Client?

Bootmenu / Factory Default
Answer

Quiet Boot
… means that the system is normally started after selecting this menu point.

Verbose Boot
… means that the Linux system is started, but halts in the control panel without loading the user interface.

Emergency Boot (Setup only)…
… means that you come to the setup of the Thin Client if you confirm this point. It is important to know that the system is loaded with the default monitor settings (resolution 640x480@60Hz). There you can then make changes within the setup.

Reset to Factory Default
…means that the device will be reset if you reconfirm Reset to Factory Default.
