VanDoezelaar to Increase Company Presence in the North American Channel
FORT LAUDERDALE, FLA. – April 16, 2008 – IGEL Technology, the world’s third largest thin client vendor, today announced the appointment of Laurie VanDoezelaar as channel marketing manager within the North American market. VanDoezelaar brings a sophisticated background of channel marketing experience to the table, and joins IGEL most recently from Microsoft, where she served for three years as the senior global channel program manger for their security and access products.
"Laurie’s extensive experience will greatly enable IGEL to strengthen our presence in the North American market,” said Erhard Behnke, president of the Americas, IGEL. "Not only does she have a deep understanding of the North American channel, but she also brings a fresh perspective on how IGEL can enhance both its partner and end-user marketing efforts in this market. As we continue to aggressively grow our 100% channel-focused strategy within North America, Laurie will be an invaluable addition to the team.”
Along with her experience at Microsoft, where she managed their worldwide Security
Competency Partner Program, VanDoezelaar has worked as a channel marketing manager at Citrix, and was the Southeast channel account manager at Computer Associates for eight years. Her primary responsibility at IGEL will be to build a strong partner ecosystem, and to increase channel recruitment marketing and end-user marketing executed through IGEL partners.
“I am very excited to be part of a company that not only rewards creative drive, solid execution and hard work, but also where I feel empowered to make a difference in the company’s growth,” said VanDoezelaar. “I believe IGEL’s vision and goals mirror my own, and I see a tremendous opportunity to build out a vibrant partner ecosystem that will have a significant impact on the company’s future.”
