IGEL Thin Clients and Microsoft Remote Desktop Services
Remote Desktop Services (RDS) are part of Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 and Microsoft Small Business Server. These remote desktop services include all the features of the earlier terminal services (TS) and also expand them with new functions. This means that both RemoteApp (individual applications) and remote desktops (session-based or virtualized desktops) can be economically provisioned from the same platform. Microsoft RDP and RemoteFXAccess to remote apps and remote desktops is provided by the standard protocol Microsoft RDP (Remote Desktop Protocol). As of RDP Version 7.1, the protocol extension Microsoft RemoteFX is also supported. RemoteFX is part of service pack 1 (SP1) for Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2, which optimizes the user experience in Microsoft VDI environments. More Information about Microsoft RemoteFX Support from IGEL Hardware and SoftwareSupport for Microsoft RDP comes standard in all IGEL Universal Desktop solutions, including IGEL’s UDC software, with all available operating systems and firmware packages. RemoteFX is supported by all IGEL Linux-based models (from the IGEL UD3) and by IGEL’s UDC software. Your Advantages
