Access to Server-based Applications

Using its Universal Desktop model series, IGEL enables efficient access to server-based applications. It doesn’t matter whether they’re Microsoft Windows or Linux applications or whether they are provisioned in a session-based or virtualized manner. Application provisioning is a very economical form of server-based computing (SBC), which is particularly suitable for standard users. To provide efficient access to these environments, all IGEL Universal Desktops support the standard protocols Citrix ICA and Microsoft RDP. Furthermore, IGEL integrates additional protocols and clients in certain firmware packages, including NoMachine NX, ThinLinc and Ericom PowerTerm WebConnect Client.
