Modern printing with IBM mainframes

This software version, especially adapted for IGEL Universal Desktop thin clients, allows documents to be printed on modern laser, matrix and label printers, which are usually not IBM-compatible units. To achieve this, the printer data streams in the conventional IBM format, Intelligent Printer Data Stream (IPDS), are directly converted in the thin client and then sent on to the locally connected printer.

• No middleware and no print server hardware required

Note: convert4print has to be licensed directly from CSP. Installation in the IGEL Universal Desktop firmware is carried out by the customer or an IT service provider using the management software supplied as standard with the thin clients, the IGEL Universal Management Suite (UMS).
