Regardless of whether you have an internal or external smartcard reader: IGEL Universal Desktops support a broad range of authentication and single-sign-on solutions through to the digital signature. In this context, IGEL Universal Desktops support both processor and memory smartcards both from within ICA and RDP sessions and also for logging in.

In addition to these solutions, IGEL Universal Desktops also support other solutions running Microsoft Windows or Linux. These drivers can be installed in a specially designated storage area of the IGEL firmware (only Windows Embedded Standard and IGEL Linux).
