Jim Volpenhein
Chief Executive Officer
Jim Volpenhein has been actively involved in IT distribution for 24 years, and became CEO of IGEL Technology America in 2009. Preceding his 10-year involvement in the IGEL channel, Jim owned and managed distribution and leasing companies in the computer, financial, and food industries, along with several entertainment and retail enterprises. In this capacity, Jim has cultivated extensive expertise from his involvement on the boards of related IT, food, and entertainment industry counsels. Jim holds a BA in Marketing from the University of Kentucky.
Steve Scherch
President
Steve Scherch has been active with the IGEL channel since its introduction to the Americas in 2001. He is a highly respected veteran of the Fortune 100 manufacturing environment who has served in top executive roles with responsibilities that include the operations of 52 plants and management of 1600 direct and indirect reports. Steve holds a BS in Finance from the University of Cincinnati, a CPA from the State of Illinois, and an MBA from DePaul University.
Jeff Kalberg
General Manager
Jeff Kalberg's work with IGEL started as a Business Partner in 2002. He now serves as General Manager, where he leverages his experience in server-based computing and the use of thin client technology in large-scale enterprises. Jeff also draws on his past leadership and industry experience as an CFO/CIO and an information systems consultant to help lead IGEL Technology's American operation, including overseeing market development and product marketing, as well as sales and technical operations. Jeff holds a BS in Accounting from Wittenberg University.
Jeff Feige
Chief Technology Officer
Jeff Feige brought his demonstrated industry expertise to the IGEL channel in 2005. Prior to his career at IGEL, Jeff headed the IT systems of several companies, including his own, in the printing, graphics,and computer industries. His more than two decades in IT consulting has led to an impressive proficiency in areas such as hardware, software, networking, remote computing technology, and virtualization. Jeff studied Information Technology at Southern Ohio College, holds a Linux Professional Institute Certification, and is active in his local Cincinnati Linux Group.
Andrew Chambers
National Sales Manager
Andrew Chambers is an experienced sales manger with a proven track record in channel management, development, and sales who has spent the past 11 years honing his skills in the server-based computing market. Before joining IGEL, he was a Field Sales Manager, Channel Recruiter, and Channel Development Manager at Citrix Systems where he successfully managed and grew the channel business in the Rocky Mountain Region. Andrew acquired a BS in Business from the University of Phoenix and certifications in Citrix Sales and Sandler Sales training.

Heiko Gloge
Managing Director and Partner
Mr Gloge is a pillar of the international thin client community. After starting with Melchers in 1988, he was made General Manager of their NetCom division, which in 2001 became the independent daughter company, IGEL Technology GmbH. He was one of the founders of the European Thin Client Forum in 2002 and currently is Chairman of the “Thin Client & Server Based Computing” group in Germany’s highly influential IT industry association, BITKOM. A native of North Germany, Mr. Gloge originally studied Computing at different institutions.

Nicolas Helms
Managing Director and Partner
Nicolas Helms is Executive Partner at Melchers Group, parent company of IGEL Technology GmbH. Originally from Bremen, he has worked in six different countries on four continents, where he has gained extensive experience in international business. In 1994 he was named Director of Melchers Hong Kong. Mr. Helms has been Managing Director at C. Melchers GmbH & Co. KG since 2000. He was one of two directors who founded IGEL Technology GmbH as a Melchers subsidiary in 2001. Nicolas Helms holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from the University of Zurich, Switzerland, and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Boston University, USA.

Dirk Dördelmann
Managing Director
Mr Doerdelmann is one of the industry’s most highly qualified engineering managers with more than 15 years practical experience in server-based computing and development of both thin clients and terminals. He joined IGEL GmbH in 1991 taking responsibility for the technical department from service to support. Then for a period of three years he joined OBO Bettermann GmbH to gain additional project management experience in the electrical industry. In 2001 he returned to IGEL to set-up, structure, organize and manage IGEL’s world class German engineering teams for product management, R & D, and quality assurance in the Augsburg branch office. Mr. Doerdelmann has professional qualifications in both electro-technique and in commerce.

Andreas Schönduve
Managing Director
Mr Schönduve joined IGEL in 2006. By introducing permanent, long-view cost control systems, implementing dynamic cash management and increasing overall efficiency, he has dramatically improved the Finance, Administration and Control department. In doing so, he has made it possible for IGEL’s top management to make clear, well-informed decisions on company policies even in these uncertain times. For over 20 years, Andreas Schönduve has been active in international business on five continents. During this time, he was also able to complete a program of study at the well-respected German Foreign Trade and Transportation Academy (Deutsche Außenhandels- und Verkehrsakademie DAV) in Bremen, Germany.

Erhard Behnke
Director Sales
Mr Behnke is an experienced international sales leader with a proven track record in channel and key account sales in the server-based computing and thin clients market. Since 1984, he has gained a wealth of IT sales experience and prior to joining IGEL was Manager Brand Marketing EMEA at Novell where he successfully developed a strong channel through the introduction of joint technology products that addressed customer and market needs. A German based international system house benefited from his skills for over ten years as he managed and was operationally responsible implementing technical training facilities and consulting services within the Microsoft authorized and Citrix authorized markets. Mr. Behnke holds degrees in electro-technique, computer science and information technology from University of Bremen, Germany.

Dr. Frank Lampe
Marketing Director
Mr Lampe began working for IGEL in 2004, following a career in advertising. He was IGEL’s marketing manager in EMEA before taking the role of Marketing Director. Mr Lampe has worked in the Thin Client industry for more than five years and has more than ten years experience in the IT and online technology sector. During this time, Dr Lampe has also been responsible for various Thin Client and desktop computing technology studies realized with different technology research institutes. He is also the author of several IT books incl. one on Thin Clients, Virtualization and Green IT. He has a PHD in International Management Studies.

Torsten Hengst
Director of Operations
Torsten Hengst started at the Melchers Group in 1994 and joined IGEL Technology right from the beginning. Through his trading and business apprenticeship as well as through his experience in several company departments of IGEL Technology he developed a broad know how basis for his tasks as Director Operations. He is responsible for the following departments: purchasing, order management, service/repair, warehousing and production/assembly. His leadership and his team ensure the success.
