The IGEL Universal Desktop Converter (UDC) software allows you to migrate your existing PC or old thin client hardware into a fully manageable IGEL Universal Desktop thin client-like device. It is capable of delivering Citrix®, VMware and Terminal Server desktop applications.

IGEL Universal Desktop Thin Clients are available with three operating systems: Linux, Microsoft Windows Embedded Standard, and Microsoft Windows Embedded Standard 7.

The firmware that comes standard with IGEL Universal Desktops contains a great variety of integrated software tools, clients and protocols. These features allow users to directly access the greatest variety of centralized IT infrastructures.  The firmware is available in three Packages: Entry, Standard and Advanced.

IGEL Universal Desktop Firmware Upgrade Licenses

With the UD Firmware Upgrade Licenses it is possible to expand the functionality of your IGEL thin clients. UD Upgrade Licenses are available for the operating systems Linux (LX) and Microsoft Windows Embedded Standard (ES).

The virtualized version of the new Universal Desktop Linux based firmware provides you with a cost and risk free way to evaluate the look and feel of IGEL’s Universal Desktops. The IGEL Virtual Demo Thin Client offers the possibility to test IGEL’s feature rich Advanced firmware package.
