IGEL Thin Clients and Citrix XenApp
Citrix XenApp (formerly known as Citrix Presentation Server) allows provisioning of applications from the data center in a virtualized or session-based manner (shared desktop) to all enterprise locations as an on-demand service. Citrix XenApp is part of the complete solution Citrix XenDesktop, which also allows centralized provisioning and management of virtualized desktops. Citrix ICA and Citrix HDXCentralized Citrix environments are accessed by means of the Citrix ICA protocol. ICA, which stands for “Independent Computing Architecture”, requires very little network bandwidth, around 10-20 kBit/s for a typical session, and is therefore particularly suitable for WAN connections. In addition, Citrix HDX technologies ensure a “high-definition user experience” including rich media and 3D applications. Comprehensive support for USB peripheral devices (USB redirection) is also included. Support from IGEL Software and HardwareCitrix ready: All IGEL Universal Desktop solutions, including IGEL’s UDC software, support Citrix ICA in conjunction with all respectively available operating systems and firmware packages. In fact, starting with the IGEL ‘Advanced’ firmware package, all IGEL Universal Desktop solutions are even certified as HDX Ready. Furthermore, the ‘Advanced’ package and the other firmware versions also support Citrix Secure Access Gateway. Your Advantages
