The Role

The IGEL Ready Program is a offers robust testing and verification for IGEL technology partners. After a robust testing process, validated partner solutions and products are listed in the IGEL Ready Showcase, giving customers and channel partners a simple and effective way to explore and select IGEL Ready verified solutions, increasing confidence while reducing risk.

LG is a strategic independent hardware vendor (IHV) partner within the IGEL Ready ecosystem. This position, the Technical Partner Specialist (LG), plays a key role in working with LG and is foundational in developing the testing and product verification roadmap of LG devices within the IGEL Ready ecosystem. This role is responsible for working with LG through the stages of their technical engagement from testing to integration, finally establishing the device as IGEL Ready to be deployed for the customer. This role is also responsible for the design and execution of test procedures, the documentation of the test procedures performed, the reporting of errors, and the maintenance of test environments.

Additionally, the Technical Partner Specialist (LG) operates as a highly skilled technical and business resource. Working directly with IGEL Sales, Engineering, Customer Success teams, and LG’s Partner Sales teams, you will provide advanced and in-depth technical knowledge on LG products for our valued customers. This position requires the combination of strong technical, marketing, communications, and project management skills, leveraging a track record that demonstrates the ability to help build deep technical solutions based on the integration of LG products and IGEL OS.

This position is designated as remote and is open to candidates in the domestic U.S.


  • Establish yourself as a Subject Matter Expert for the LG and IGEL partnership. In addition, help drive the success of the IGEL Ready ecosystem by working closely with LG to build and validate strategic product integrations.
  • Lead the technical integration and validation process for the LG products tested for IGEL Ready
  • Provide technical best practices for partners and customers; build and maintain customer and partner rapport; ensure clear, professional communication between our teams and the customer
  • Provide best practice consultation on joint LG and IGEL solutions including system architecture diagrams, workflow diagrams, and solution implementation and deployment methods.
  • Work with developers, LG (partner) and product team for any identified bugs, technical issues to help find a solution.
  • Support technical queries from LG/ other stakeholders around verification procedures and issues.
  • Develop and update the IGEL Ready test kit and relevant test cases for the successful validation of developed integrations.
  • Evaluate, re-verify, and approve partner products for the IGEL Ready Showcase.
  • Drive technical programs that align with IGEL and LG partnership strategy.
  • Design and develop technical marketing collaterals including blogs, white papers, reference architectures guides, solutions briefs, and many more.
  • Operate in an advisory capacity and to collaborate with internal stakeholders to bridge communication and knowledge gaps between the IGEL Ready team and other departments within IGEL such as Sales, Product Management, Engineering, and Support.


  • 2+ years’ experience with Linux and/or Microsoft Windows operating systems (Red Hat, Chrome, etc.) required
  • Knowledge of virtualization technologies and terminal server products from Microsoft, Citrix and VMware (VMware Horizon, Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, Microsoft Remote Desktop Services) required
  • Very strong written and verbal communication skills with an ability to communicate effectively with sales engineers, sales teams, and management required
  • Ability to travel as needed up to 25-30% of the time in the Continental U.S. (trade shows, conferences, quarterly business meetings, etc.) and internationally (training in Germany, etc.) required
  • 2+ years' relevant engineering, consulting, or system integration experience with one or more IHV/ISV vendors or Value Added Resellers (VARs) in the IT industry preferred
  • 2+ years of experience with IGEL stack components: IGEL Linux Operating System; IGEL Universal Management Suite; IGEL Cloud Gateway; IGEL RESTful API Management Interface; IGEL PXE Deployment Appliance; IGEL Asset Tracker; IGEL High-Availability extension; and IGEL Universal Desktop Converter preferred
  • Familiarity with a scripting language (PowerShell, bash, python) preferred
  • Familiarity with common database platforms and concepts (Oracle, MSSQL, MySQL) preferred
  • Industry-standard certifications in any of the above technologies (VCP, CCA/CCP, MCSE, RHCA, etc.) preferred
  • Experience with directory management (LDAP, Active Directory) preferred
  • Experience with Identity management solutions (Okta, Microsoft, etc.) preferred
  • Experience with Single Sign-On & Tap Badge Solutions preferred
