The Role

The Inside Sales Representative (ISR) role is responsible for qualifying and developing new business relationships. To review, contact and qualify marketing-generated leads and deliver them to the Nordic Sales Lead. The position is expected to prospect and develop new customer leads, meet business and phone metrics and to deliver qualified opportunities to drive sales pipeline.


  • Receiving and responding to inbound sales leads and converting them to new business
  • Maximizing coverage within a defined region and penetrating organizations within IGEL
  • Coordinating sales activities with partner/consultants/distributors and resellers to identify and close new business
  • Initiate telephone and email contact with potential prospects from developed web and lead generation lists; cold calling as needed
  • Developing a solid working knowledge of IGEL and the benefits they provide to potential customers
  • Providing support to qualified prospects and customers including follow up, product information, quotations and closures
  • Providing forecasting and account opportunity as needed
  • Passion to perform lead generation, nurturing, strategy, metrics and pipeline management that will be the cornerstone of our sales team
  • Relentlessly qualify customers fully and get them to commit to further contact with sales team members, providing all the relevant information necessary to help the sales team close new business opportunities
  • Follow up on marketing campaigns while also creatively developing strategies to take leads from lists to qualified opportunities
  • Updating and maintain the IGEL CRM system
  • Performing other duties as assigned


  • Telemarketing, inside sales or lead generation experience
  • Experience in Terminal Services / Citrix / Vmware, Virtualization environments prefereable
  • Have a good understanding or desire to understand our technology area
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent electronic correspondence skills, with knowledge of basic business research tools
  • Ability to adapt to changes in roles and responsibilities; ability to work independently with limited direction in a fast paced environment; must be high-energy, motivated self-starter
  • Must have a strong desire to be a top sales performer and to ultimately move in to enterprise sales
