The Role

The Regional Sales Manager will be a highly motivated individual responsible for managing their region to achieve and exceed sales targets.  This position will be responsible for the management and growth of existing customers, acquisition of new customers and manage key requirements related to a high-performance sales organization.



  • The RSM position is responsible for meeting monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets.
  • Perform revenue forecasts and win/loss reports that illustrate the overall performance against quota.
  • Deliver on the sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales strategies for their region and territories; projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products.
  • Create a culture of success and ongoing business and goal achievement.
  • Manage customer expectations and contribute to a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Define sales processes that drive desired sales outcomes and identify improvements.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to establish successful support of channel and partner programs.
  • Manage and develop key customer relationships
  • Travel for in-person meetings with customers and partners to develop key relationships


  • Proven sales track record in an IT sales organization with demonstrable success
  • Knowledge and experience around Citrix, VMware and end user compute highly desirable
  • A good level of technical knowledge is essential in our sales organization
  • Experience in building and developing an exceptional region
  • Accustomed to setting very high standards, attainable goals and stretch goals for themselves
  • Customer focused with a flexible, adaptable and versatile approach. Able to build relationships at all levels and departments of a customer organization
  • Natural and poised communicator with excellent interpersonal skills and a clear communication style.
  • Ability to embrace and drive change in a fast-paced, fast-growing organization.
  • Possesses highest level of integrity, honesty and professionalism.
  • Ability to articulate and evangelize the value of IGEL.
