The Role

The Sales Manager role is a management but also active sales position. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated individual responsible for enterprise customers but also managing regional sales and technical teams together with the marketing organization to achieve and exceed our goals in a matrix organization. This is a sales focused position responsible for the management and growth of existing customers, acquisition of new customers and key requirements related to a high-performance sales organization. The position is quota carrying.

Responsibilities

  • The Sales Manager is responsible for managing all operations within a country. This involves taking responsibility for profit, revenue, cash and margin targets
  • Agreeing annual budgets and producing a detailed annual business plan as well as monthly, quarterly or annual targets for revenue and profit
  • A key part of the role is to produce business performance reports on a monthly or quarterly basis
  • It is a “hands-on” role with own Customers and responsibilities for reaching personal targets
  • The position is expected to recruit and manage staff, including performance monitoring, development, mentoring and training
  • The role is client facing in daily manner, therefore the ability to communicate effectively is essential
  • Identification and development of new markets and channels within the country
  • Create a culture of success, of ongoing business and goal achievement
  • Manage customer expectations and contribute to a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Work closely with the marketing team to establish successful customer, channel and partner programs
  • Manage key customer relationships and participate in closing strategic opportunities
  • Participate actively and in-person in meetings with customers and partners to develop key relationships

Qualifications

  • Proven sales leadership in a global software organization with matrix sales and management responsibility
  • Demonstrable experience of running sales team, channel and end user in designated regions
  • Evidence of increased software license revenues
  • Experience in building and developing an exceptional sales team
  • Accustomed to setting very high standards, attainable goals and stretch goals for teams while naturally fostering team spirit, sales discipline and holding the team accountable
  • Customer focused with a flexible, adaptable and versatile approach. Able to build relationships at all levels of an organization with specific focus at C level
  • Natural communicator with excellent interpersonal skills and a clear communication style
  • Ability to embrace and drive change in a fast-paced, fast-growing organization
  • Possesses highest level of integrity, honesty and professionalism
  • Ability to articulate and evangelize the value of the company
