The Role

This is an opportunity to join a new SDR team in our latest location – downtown Fort Lauderdale; this position is “hybrid,” both in-person and remote, and will work either an east coast or a west coast schedule. We are excited to bring an energetic team together to learn the high-tech software business and support our sales teams.

The Sales Development Representative is responsible for identifying and qualifying sales opportunities for IGEL’s North America sales organization. There is not a high degree of technical knowledge required for this position. This position lays the foundation for a successful high-tech sales career. There is a path for career growth within IGEL for the right candidate willing to learn and work toward that goal.  

Your first 3-6 months 

  • Learn the IGEL products and messaging 
  • Learn the tools necessary to be successful: Dynamics CRM, call scripts, Zoom, Outreach, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn, product info 
  • Build relationships with your sales, channel, & sales engineering counterparts 
  • Leverage any opportunity you can to learn the market and the business 
  • Leverage phone, email, LinkedIn, and other means to connect with potential customers 
  • Consistently book qualified meetings for sales teams, attaining your monthly goal as set by leadership 

6-18+ months 

  • Continue to build on your core skills and product/industry knowledge 
  • Know what it takes to meet or exceed your goals and maintain momentum to do so 
  • Begin to expand your knowledge of Digital Sales duties and responsibilities  
  • Work with mentors to set goals for yourself to gain consideration for promotion 


  • The Sales Development Representative will be responsible for scheduling discovery calls to ensure the potential client is a good fit and needs IGEL. The discovery call is where the SDR will qualify potential clients through a series of qualification questions/criteria and pass that potential client to an Account Executive who will work to move those deals to closed business.
  • Cold outreach to potential clients about their secure endpoint operating system needs - this may entail the SDR to create the need for the potential client as they may not be actively evaluating endpoint operating systems
  • Qualify potential clients to ensure they have the authority to implement a solution like IGEL
  • Call on Inbound leads
  • Work as a part of the North America sales team to meet the organization’s goals
  • Interact with prospects via telephone and email with close attention to detail
  • Promote and market IGEL’s business through extensive and persistent cold calling, emails, and communication(s) to prospective clients
  • Work target prospects lists and focus on penetrating key accounts
  • Meet or exceed assigned KPIs of outbound calls, emails, and customer interactions
  • Diligently update MS Dynamics, our CRM, to stay current on leads and follow-ups


  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • Previous sales experience or extracurricular activities related to sales
  • Previous cold-calling experience
  • Flexibility, integrity, and creative problem-solving skills
  • Be a team player who builds good working relationships across all levels
  • Possesses superb detail-oriented and organizational skills
  • Has a positive and strong work ethic
  • Must be a self-starter who is comfortable in fast-paced work environments
  • Ability to work independently under minimal supervision
