IGEL’s Nicole Simons Wins Stevie Award in 2018 Stevie Awards for Women in Business

Simons Recognized as a Most Innovative Woman of the Year in the Technology Company Category

San Francisco, November 19, 2018 – IGEL, a world leader in endpoint security and optimization software for the secure enterprise, today announced that Nicole Simons, IGEL’s Director of Operations, has been named the winner of a Bronze Stevie Award in the Most Innovative Woman of the Year, Technology Company category in the 15th annual Stevie Awards for Women in Business.

Operational undertakings driven by Simons enabled a business pivot that helped IGEL reinvent itself as a software company and evangelize the value of its end user computing software solutions. Through creative processes and innovative programs, Simons helped IGEL execute compelling marketing programs, build effective new staffing processes, achieve deeper engagement with partners and overhauled contracts and policies to support rapid growth. As a result of her efforts, IGEL saw exponential sales growth in the U.S. market for 2017 including U.S. software license revenue growth of a massive 589%.

“Nicole has taken operational creativity to new levels with an innovative approach to everything she touches,” said  Jed Ayres, President and CEO, IGEL North America. “With her hard work and passion, IGEL has risen to levels of success that have well surpassed our expectations. There is no one that’s more deserving of this recognition.”

The Stevie Awards for Women in Business honor women executives, entrepreneurs, employees, and the companies they run – worldwide.  The Stevie Awards have been hailed as the world’s premier business awards. Nicknamed the Stevies for the Greek word for “crowned,” the awards were presented to winners on Friday night during a dinner event attended by more than 550 people at the Sheraton New York Times Square Hotel in New York City. The event was broadcast via Livestream.

More than 1,500 entries were submitted this year for consideration in more than 90 categories, including Executive of the Year, Entrepreneur of the Year, Company of the Year, Startup of the Year, Women Helping Women, and Women Run Workplace of the Year.  IGEL’s Nicole Simons won Bronze in the Most Innovative Woman of the Year – Technology category.

Gold, Silver and Bronze Stevie Award winners were determined by the average scores of more than 200 business professionals around the world, working on six juries.

This year’s Stevie Awards for Women in Business was complemented by a new one-day educational and networking event called the Women|Future Conference, also at the Sheraton New York Times Square Hotel on November 16.

“In its 15th year, the Stevie Awards for Women in Business received a record number of nominations. With the new Women|Future Conference preceding the announcement of winners on November 16, it was a day to celebrate the achievements of working women around the world,” said Michael Gallagher, founder and president of the Stevie Awards. “We congratulate all of this year’s Grand, Gold, Silver and Bronze Stevie Award winners for their achievements.”
