IGEL Technology’s Gary Sharp Recognized as a 2016 CRN® Channel Chief

New York, February 22, 2016 – IGEL Technology, a world leader in the development of powerful workspace management software, software-defined endpoints, and thin and zero client solutions, today announced that CRN®, a brand of The Channel Company, has named Gary Sharp, Sales Director for North America, to its prestigious list of 2016 Channel Chiefs.

As a member of the 2016 CRN Channel Chiefs list, Sharp is recognized among IT channel’s top leaders for excellence in driving growth and revenue within their organizations through channel partners, and for demonstrating loyalty and ongoing support for the IT channel by consistently promoting, defending and executing outstanding channel partner programs. The 2016 Channel Chiefs were selected by CRN’s editorial staff on the basis of their professional achievements, standing in the industry, dedication to the channel partner community and strategies for driving future growth and innovation.

“We are proud to see Gary recognized this year by CRN for his leadership and contributions to promoting the success of our channel partners,” said Simon Richards, Managing Director, IGEL North America. “Over the past year, he has done a tremendous job of expanding the number of IGEL Authorized Partners in North America, and developed tools and programs to help our channel partners successfully sell IGEL thin and zero clients, and workspace management solutions to their customers.”

Some of Sharp’s key accomplishments in 2015 included implementing a re-certification program for Authorized IGEL partners, and providing them with pre-sales resources and tools to ensure they are technically capable of deploying IGEL thin and zero clients, and workspace management solutions to their end-user customers. The re-certification initiative includes online videos and questionnaires, to provide partners with the flexibility they need to become re-certified when it is convenient for them.

“As a direct result of Gary’s efforts, IGEL experienced a greater than 56% increase in year-over-year revenues in endpoint sales, and a greater than 90% increase in year-over-year revenues in software endpoints generated by our North American channel partners,” continued Richards.

“We are honored to present the 2016 lineup of CRN Channel Chiefs, comprised of outstanding executives who move our entire industry forward by cultivating exemplary partner programs and executing cutting-edge business strategy,” said Robert Faletra, CEO, The Channel Company. “They represent an extraordinary group of individuals who lead by example and serve as both invaluable advocates and innovators of the IT channel. We applaud their incredible strides and look forward to following their accomplishments in the coming year.”
