Samsung uses IGEL OS to power its new cloud displays
Samsung Electronics, one of the world’s most powerful technology brands, and an innovator in Thin Client cloud display technology, is leveraging IGEL Linux OS and IGEL Universal Management Suite 5 (UMS 5) software to power its new TC-L Series all-in-one Thin Client cloud displays. This alliance gives enterprise a highly unique and reliable desktop solution for remote access of critical documents and data through the cloud.
Samsung’s TC222L and TC242L monitors bring the power, protection and capability of IGEL’s remote automation tools to Samsung’s pioneering display technologies.
This all-in-one Thin Client display combination simplifies the physical workspace, while providing the benefits of Citrix secure app and data delivery technology.
- The two displays are identical in features and build specifications; the key difference is in the display size. The TC222L has a 21.5″ display whereas the TC242L has a 23.6″ display.
- Each display includes and AMD GX-212 1.2GHz Dual core CPU, 2GB of DDR3 RAM, 4GB of eMMC flash storage, Gigabit Ethernet, AMD Radeon RSE graphics and Realtek ALC282 audio with built-in speakers.
- IGEL’s embedded software provides reliable multi-protocol connectivity to mainstream VDI environments and cloud resources, such as Citrix, VMware and Microsoft.
