IGEL and ControlUp: Delivering a Secure and Seamless Digital Experience
From March 30 to April 2, Miami Beach’s iconic Fontainebleau Resort will host architects, strategists, and tech leaders who are shaping the future of secure, resilient digital work at IGEL Now & Next 2026.
In this edition of our IGEL Now & Next Sponsor Blog series, we talk with Marcel Calef, Americas Field CTO for ControlUp, about their partnership with IGEL and what attendees can expect to see and learn at IGEL Now & Next 2026.
Tell us about your company and the role you play in the IGEL Ready ecosystem.
Marcel Calef: ControlUp complements the IGEL Secure Endpoint OS Platform (both the OS and the IGEL Universal Management Suite) by providing real-time metrics and remediation capabilities. Additionally, EUC teams use ControlUp for everything, from VDI/AVD to Windows 365 to other client platforms, including PCs and MacBooks.
What major trends are shaping your customers’ strategies as we move through 2026? How does that complement the IGEL platform?
Marcel Calef: Not mentioning AI in this section is impossible. AI is first and foremost about having the right data, which ControlUp provides across all EUC platforms, IGEL included!
How has participating in the IGEL Ready program helped amplify your innovation, reach new markets, or improve customer experience?
Marcel Calef: The IGEL Ready program allows us to build ready-made integrations of our product for customers to consume in their IGEL deployments. We also benefit from the added exposure this prestigious program provides.
What are you and IGEL building together that shapes what’s Now and Next for secure, modern EUC?
Marcel Calef: Autonomous Endpoint Management! By integrating IGEL into the supported platforms in ControlUp, we enable our customers to have a single pane of glass with all the information and remediation capabilities, ensuring employees have a friction-free digital experience and unchain IT from the eternal cycle of tickets, troubleshooting, and manual remediations.
How does your offering integrate with IGEL’s three-plane architecture?
Marcel Calef: ControlUp is integrated into the three-plane architecture through our agent, which collects data and can interact directly with the OS. Additionally, our Enrich web plugin can provide the data and actions on top of the IGEL Universal Management Suite’s (UMS) web user interface, and all of this is accessible via the IGEL App Portal.
How do customers benefit from the combination of your technology and the IGEL Secure Endpoint OS Platform?
Marcel Calef: Customers benefit in several ways, including simplified operations, a single-pane-of-glass view, and automated remediation processes.
Why is your organization sponsoring IGEL Now and Next 2026?
Marcel Calef: IGEL is a platform trusted by many of our customers and a leader in endpoint security. Sponsoring IGEL Now & Next enables us to get closer to our customers and discover new opportunities.
What will you be presenting or demonstrating at the event?
Marcel Calef: ControlUp will demonstrate our deep integration within the IGEL ecosystem, along with the enhancements and new features we have introduced. Live demonstrations will showcase how the ControlUp and IGEL platforms work together.
What do you hope attendees understand about our joint value by the time they leave the event?
Marcel Calef: By the conclusion of the event, we hope attendees understand that the future is in AEM (Autonomous Endpoint Management), which includes optimizing and automating support for application delivery to users in a manner that works best for the use case, whether it be browser-based, locally run applications, VDI, or DaaS.
What do you hope to take away from participating in IGEL Now & Next 2026?
Marcel Calef: We hope to gain a deeper understanding of our customers’ and prospects’ needs, as well as strategies for further integrating ControlUp with the IGEL platform.
