IGEL Appoints Matt Hoppe as VP Sales for North Europe

UK, Reading. December 6, 2021 – IGEL, provider of the next gen edge OS for cloud workspaces, announces today the appointment of Matt Hoppe as VP Sales for Northern Europe responsible for managing the UK, Ireland, Benelux and all Nordic countries.

His remit is wide ranging and will involve growing channel partner programmes, driving direct engagement with key enterprise customers, increasing the performance of IGEL’s sales and marketing teams and continuing the development of the business in the region so that triple digit growth can be achieved in the near term.

With over 24 years’ experience in the IT industry focused on the deployment of leading VDI and cloud workspace platforms, Matt Hoppe joins IGEL from Xtravirt, a cloud consulting and managed services firm, where he was sales director.

Here he was instrumental in establishing and developing around 40 channel partner relationships in the UK and creating go-to-market sales collaterals for these partners to then use in their new business activities. During his seven-year tenure, Xtravirt moved from a niche consulting firm to one of VMware’s top global professional services and implementation partners.

Prior to this, Matt Hoppe was managing director and founder of AMS, a Citrix managed services partner focused on supporting a wide variety of enterprise customers throughout the UK with their strategic desktop and digital transformation projects. He sold the business after 12 years.

Jed Ayres, IGEL’s chief executive officer, says, “IGEL is now at the vanguard of the digital workspace revolution as organisations deploy solutions from Amazon Web Services, Citrix, Microsoft and VMware. This allows staff to work from the office, at home or remotely wherever they need. Matt Hoppe brings a wealth of channel and busines development sales expertise crucial to our future performance in Northern Europe.”

Commenting on his appointment, Matt Hoppe says, “IGEL has huge growth potential as evidenced by the fact that the IGEL Ready channel programme now has 125 global hardware, software and peripheral vendors signed up – firms who want to develop verified and integrated systems with IGEL’s technology. I’m passionate about delivering secure and easy to manage solutions for end-users so they have the very best computing experience possible. IGEL’s at the forefront of this and it’s wonderful to join the team.”
