We’re bringing EUC to D.C!

IGEL launches expanded federal sales operation with EUC Veteran Hires

Just days after an amazing Citrix Synergy event, IGEL, the endpoint security and optimization software company that never sleeps, is opening its new Federal Division in D.C. I am pleased to be joining IGEL with Chris Feeney to lead the operation and bring the story of IGEL’s superb software-defined endpoint computing solutions to government agencies around North America.

As someone who has specialized in end user computing (EUC) and federal sales (at Dell and VMware), I have come to realize that the public and private sector have more in common than you might think. They share the challenge of controlling budgets while still being able to provide the most seamless and secure end user experience possible. With IGEL, we can offer federal agencies one solution that does it all: our software suite that enables the most productivity and best user experience at each and every endpoint, all powered by our secure IGEL OS. Another big plus is our desktop conversion software that helps budget conscious agencies repurpose and extend the life of legacy equipment.

My colleague, Chris Feeney, spent more than a decade at Imprivata in sales and product management positions, partnering with IGEL on delivering its EUC software and hardware solutions. If there was a quiz show on IGEL’s benefits and innovative features like super-efficient endpoint manageability, no doubt Chris would take home first prize! He is a walking dictionary on IGEL’s product suite and a passionate evangelist for IGEL’s simple, secure and smart EUC suite that will save government agencies dollars and support improved performance.

IGEL is Compliant and Environmental Friendly!

With the opening of our Federal Division, we are also pleased to announce a new IGEL win:  a selection of IGEL endpoint solutions has received a Silver Electronic Product Environmental Assessment Tool (EPEAT) rating via the Green Electronics Council. Our endpoints have been recognized for supporting EPEAT’s goals of promoting green, sustainable operations of electronics products around the globe.  IGEL endpoints reduce individual unit power consumption, generate less heat output and need fewer replacement parts – all benefits that government agency operations need to be sustainable, and save budget!

Also, our IGEL OS and IGEL Universal Management Suite™ are already TAA (Trade Agreement Act (19 U.S.C. & 2501-2581)) compliant. Our hardware and IGEL OS meet VPAT/508 compliance.
