IGEL Managed Containers™ reaches general availability

Today, IGEL is pleased to announce the general availability of IGEL Managed Containers™, a governed workload execution option within the IGEL Adaptive Secure Endpoint Platform™ that enables organizations to deploy and centrally manage containerized applications on IGEL OS™ endpoints.

It brings modern workload flexibility to the edge while preserving the security, resilience, and centralized governance organizations expect from IGEL.

Bring existing container investments to the endpoint

IGEL Managed Containers is designed to work with the container investments organizations already have.

Customers can connect to existing OCI-compliant registries and deploy supported containerized workloads directly to IGEL OS endpoints. Initial capabilities focus on Podman-based containers, enabling teams to use familiar container formats and development processes rather than rebuilding applications for an entirely new environment.

This gives DevOps and application teams a practical path to move modern workloads closer to users, devices, machines, and data sources.

At the same time, security and IT operations teams retain control over what is permitted to run and where it can be deployed.

The result is a cleaner separation of responsibilities:
