IGEL Named to the San Francisco Business Times Fastest Growing Private Companies List

Reporting 333% growth in net revenue from 2017 to 2019, IGEL ranks among the region’s fastest growing companies for the second year in a row

SAN FRANCISCO, November 4, 2020– IGEL, provider of the next-gen edge OS for cloud workspaces, today announced that it has been ranked #15 by the San Francisco Business Times on the annual Fastest Growing Private Companies in the Bay Area list, an exclusive ranking of the region’s fastest growing private companies.

Now in its 29th year, the San Francisco Business Times’ Top 100 Fastest-Growing Private Companies in the Bay Area list covers nearly every industry and counts among its alumni some of the world’s most iconic brands, including Salesforce.com, Jamba Juice, Joie de Vivre Hospitality. The winners and rankings were unveiled during a virtual awards event, held October 29, 2019. Reporting 333.1% three-year growth in net revenues, this is IGEL’s second year on the list.

Led by CEO Jed Ayres, who is widely recognized for the transformational impact he is making on the end user computing industry, IGEL began its pivot from a hardware-centric to a software-first company in 2016. Today, the company aligns with the world’s most prominent cloud technology providers including Citrix, Microsoft and VMware, to transform end user computing by simplifying and securing the cloud-delivery of all needed applications and resources. More than 100 partners integrate their hardware, software and applications into IGEL platforms as part of the IGEL Ready program that was announced earlier this year.

IGEL is also a 100% channel-driven company and has alliances with a broad international network of channel partners, including solution providers, resellers and distributors. By providing these channel partners with the products and tools they need to grow their business more quickly and more profitably, IGEL demonstrates its commitment to helping its partners’ customers to simply and safely secure and manage endpoints accessing cloud workspaces.

“Through our innovative,  Linux-based edge OS, we are making it possible for our customers to retain existing hardware while at the same time vastly simplifying the management and control of their endpoint devices, in a way that also results in significant cost savings,” said Brad Tompkins, Chief Sales Officer, IGEL North America. “We are thrilled to be recognized again in 2020 as one of the San Francisco Business Times’ list of Fastest Growing Private Companies. This year has presented unparalleled challenges for everyone, and we are especially proud and grateful for the resiliency and commitment our employees, partners and customers have demonstrated, despite the many personal and professional hardships we have all faced. Congrats to the entire IGEL family on this tremendous honor!”
