IGEL is Citrix Synerg-istic! A Record-Breaking Show Highlights IGEL Endpoint security and optimization Like Never Before

Wow!  What a show!  Citrix Synergy this year was a personal best for IGEL with ‘sold out’ partner & IGEL presentations at our Innovation Theatre (standing-room only). Close to 600 attendees took the time to hear why our software-driven approach to delivering virtual desktops is the best path to providing users with a fully productive digital workspace.

Take a moment to check out this video with IGEL North America CEO Jed Ayres, and Technology Evangelist Jeff Kalberg, giving a snapshot of why, and how, IGEL’s endpoint security and optimization software solution can transform any x86 device, anywhere, into a virtual desktop with a custom user-based profile.  From New York City to London, and back again, IGEL’s Universal Management Suite (UMS) automates the management of hundreds of thousands of devices, super-fast, and with minimal IT administration.

Plus, if you missed any of the keynotes during Synergy, you can view them now on the Citrix Synergy TV on Demand site.

Want to see more highlights from Synergy? Watch this:

Windows 10 Looms Ahead.  One of the key takeaways from Citrix Synergy is customers’ concerns about transitioning to Windows 10 & Windows 10 IoT.  Microsoft is winding down support of Windows 7 and Windows Embedded 7.  The clock is ticking.  Organizations need to start now to plan for Windows 10 deployment, if they haven’t already begun that process.

IGEL Eliminates Windows 10 Headaches. Customers were eager to hear how IGEL OS 10 can enable them to make the transition to Windows 10, and most importantly, end the headaches of constant Microsoft-driven releases.  IGEL OS 10 eliminates the need for Windows 10 or Windows 10 IoT on the endpoint; with IGEL you have a slim (2 Gbyte RAM + 2 Gbyte disk), secure OS that runs on any 64-bit x86 device.  Now through desktop and application virtualization with XenApp and XenDesktop from Citrix, you can keep Windows 10 in the DataCenter where it belongs, so it can be easily managed and patched.

IGEL Micro-Endpoint Continues to Amaze All!  IGEL’s UD Pocket has been a huge hit since it was introduced in December.  At $169 apiece, Citrix Synergy customers couldn’t get enough of this micro device which integrates with our UMS.  Your remote workers can plug in the UD Pocket to any client machine and access a virtual desktop, which is secure and access-controlled.  It’s answering the challenge of securing the endpoint while enabling remote and mobile workers anywhere access to applications and data they need to work effectively.

Software Rules. Period.  Customers and partners made Citrix Synergy our best show ever because our message of taking this software-driven approach to virtual desktops resonates with organizations which have little interest in new hardware investment, and great interest in taking virtualization a step further, at economical costs and with minimal staff.

IGEL OS can be deployed on any 64-bit x86 endpoint, and the IGEL Cloud Gateway and UMS allow IT to securely manage how users connect to virtual applications and desktops anywhere.

Tesla Survey Contest.  Still a chance to enter!  Booth attendees were enthusiastic about taking our brief survey and putting their names in the hat to win the Tesla P100D.  Check out the list of upcoming Tesla qualifying events here: https://www.igel.com/events/

The Tesla contest, sponsored by AMD and Samsung, ends at VMworld, where the winner will be announced on August 30, 2017.
