IGEL Insights™ to Deliver Monitoring and Visibility

Like many sports fans around the world, I enjoyed watching the Winter Olympics last month – the competition, the skill, the teamwork, and the artistry are all so impressive and awe-inspiring. Athletes trained for years leading up to the event, and in the days just before the start – there was a particular kind of quiet and preparation that almost no one saw. On the mountain before sunrise, athletes carved slow, deliberate turns long before any spectators arrived. Ski jumpers repeated the in-run posture until micro-adjustments in balance felt automatic. Figure skaters tested edges on pristine ice, listening for that crisp sound that confirms the blade is settling exactly right. Nothing dramatic and nothing televised, but the final preparations were essential.

In a somewhat similar manner, IGEL Insights™ is also going through its final preparations before “hitting the slopes” in its breakthrough “Olympic” moment where it matters most –  live customer production environments generating real business value. IGEL Insights is our new telemetry, observability, and analytics platform for your IGEL deployments. During November of last year (2025), we shared significant updates at the Now & Next Frankfurt conference and within my accompanying blog. The team is continuing to make solid progress with this exciting new offering – listening to customers, designing for real-world use cases, and planning for integrations. We’ll dive into the latest updates here.

Why IGEL Insights? Why now?

The IT landscape continues to evolve. Use cases are growing, budgets less so. Endpoints no longer sit on predictable corporate networks. They operate across clinics, branches, manufacturing floors, field locations, and homes. Each device is subjected to varying conditions that affect performance and security before, during, and after users interact with apps and data. IT professionals need visibility and analytics across their IGEL Secure Endpoint Platform to operate as proactively as possible when faced with these situations (among others):

  • Slow logons
  • Poor application performance
  • Challenging network conditions
  • Inconsistent app versions
  • Potential data exfiltration
  • Endpoint health issues

Our customers expect us to empower them with the right visibility that’s actionable. With IGEL Insights, we wanted to take a data-driven approach from the early stages – listening to customers to understand their requirements and current pain points. We hosted several discovery calls with customers across various verticals and GEOs to learn more and uncover what really matters most and where to focus.

Listening to Customers

In late 2025, we hosted discussions with customers to learn more about their needs for an IGEL-centric telemetry, analytics, and observability platform. Here’s a short summary of what we heard.

  • Environments are diverse with various DaaS/VDI vendors, app vendors, device vendors, etc. Customers expect us to bring everything together in a cohesive way.
  • Some customers preferred to consume insights via dashboards, some API, and some both. Regardless of consumption, customers wanted as many data points and visualizations as possible.
  • Monitoring and observability are often very manual for many customers today and expend significant work cycles from IT. Providing the right data at the right time is huge.
  • Customers are looking for signals on where to focus their efforts and cut through the “noise” to improve both user experience and security. They’re trying to answer fundamental questions for leadership and drill down further as required.
  • When issues do arise, customers would love to see more centralized data and updates. When dozens or hundreds of devices are impacted, the business also feels the impact.

All feedback collected has contributed directly to the release plan and roadmap for IGEL Insights.

A Sneak Peek at IGEL Insights

I’ve personally installed and tested IGEL Insights™ across multiple hosted environments. I must say that it’s shaping up nicely as a result of our product management, engineering, and UX teams coming together with clarity and purpose. Let’s take a look at some early IGEL Insights product screenshots from one of our live test environments.

A Partner-Centric Approach

Having worked in alliances roles and collaborating with large industry players for years, I know as well as anyone that any single vendor tech stack doesn’t operate in a vacuum. Instead, integration and interoperability are the essential elements across functional IT domains. For IGEL Insights, we’re working with our IGEL Ready alliance partners on thoughtful integrations, use cases, and workstreams and are committed to making our APIs and data points available to alliance partners who wish to consume them – providing admins with a streamlined experience.

As of writing, we have an exciting announcement in this area planned for our upcoming IGEL Now & Next®. On-site attendees will hear it first and learn more throughout the event. Either way, stay tuned on this front and there are more discussions taking place with our IGEL Ready vendor solutions. IGEL Insights is designed to complement existing DEX, monitoring, analytics, and telemetry platforms that our customers rely on every day across their infrastructure.
