The Role

The Enterprise Relationship Manager (ERM), North Central, is responsible for managing a targeted number of large, named accounts, with greater than 5,000 employees, in order to achieve and exceed IGEL’s sales targets. In this exciting and challenging position, you’ll be responsible for the management and growth of specific named accounts, developing C-suite level relationships, selling deep and wide, and delivering key requirements related to a high-performance sales organization.

This position is remote and will cover a territory in North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, and Illinois. Due to the territory’s location, this role is open to candidates in Chicago or the greater Chicago metropolitan area.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively deliver the IGEL value proposition, demonstrating an understanding of the solution and individual products.
  • Manage customer expectations and contribute to a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Use forecasting and pipeline management to manage sales growth.
  • Meet monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets.
  • Use our Microsoft CRM application to develop and utilize professional account management and follow-up procedures.
  • Attend local marketing events as appropriate.
  • Become the primary contact person within your enterprise accounts while working closely with your colleagues, Inside Sales Representatives, Channel Managers and Sales Engineers.
  • Develop a sustained pipeline of accounts by actively prospecting via networking, marketing lead follow-up, and personal relationships to independently close contracts.
  • Appropriately engage management and subject-matter experts in the sales cycle.
  • Present territory plan reviews, weekly forecasting reviews, and quarterly sales reviews to the executive team.
  • Building and maintaining strong business relationships with senior level executives.

Qualifications

  • Must reside within the greater Chicago metropolitan area.
  • 5+ years of experience in the field selling software or hardware to enterprise/global customers; previous OEM enterprise sales experience is essential.
  • Ability to travel locally/domestically up to 25% of the time to meet with customers, channel contacts, and technology partners, or to marketing events.
  • Possesses a hunter mentality with proven success in seeking out and closing net new logos; this is not a farming role.
  • Demonstrated track record of success resulting from following a repeatable process.
  • Willing and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience selling in a channel environment preferred; IGEL is 100% channel.
  • Technical acumen within the Virtual Desktop Interface (VDI) industry preferred.
