“Startup” Sparkle: Why I Joined IGEL

Question: What company works with the time-to-market speed and innovation of a startup?

Answer: IGEL!

Although IGEL has been around for a while, it has the nimble, no bureaucracy approach of a startup. IGEL does things better, faster and differently than other companies in the next-gen OS market space. No time is wasted bringing products to market. IGEL isn’t a startup but acts and feels like one and it’s one of the main reasons I am super excited to join IGEL as Channel Manager North America East.

Another reason is IGEL and I share two loves: software and virtualization. I joined IGEL after almost a decade as an account manager at Citrix and before that, working in sales channel and business development at Ingram Micro, focusing on HP Networking, and Lenovo in an analytics role. Last year I had a career epiphany: I really loved selling software and virtualization and needed to make that a focus once again. IGEL reached out in December and here I am!

Accelerating Partner Success

One more reason I love IGEL is that IGEL is all about the channel. In my role, will be working with the broader IGEL team to activate channel partners into the IGEL Velocity Partner Program, accelerating their engagement and driving the growth opportunities that help them build a thriving IGEL practice. With our partners, we are driving the adoption of IGEL OS, the No. 1 edge OS for cloud workspaces and the most secure, high performance, managed endpoint operating system for any cloud, and any device. I will be leading the way to bringing new partners into the IGEL Velocity ecosystem to extend our market reach in the East.

To achieve this, I will be nurturing and driving the go-to-market [GTM] strategy with our regional resellers to help reach revenue and pipeline targets. I’m excited to be part of the expert team at IGEL that has built a true model for how GTM should be done. And, it’s going to be fun. At IGEL there are no heavy layers of management to deal with and teams are very receptive to new ideas. As a result, IGEL’s partner network succeeds because we can respond to their needs in a timely fashion. We give them a direct voice to communicate their views – and we pay attention.

Teaming Up for the Future

IGEL has seen that the future is software – and they’ve acted. Now IGEL is the leader in innovative software solutions for companies that need to support a workforce using the cloud via any number of devices. Our partners are telling us they see customer demand for IGEL solutions increasing, notably to enable a secure and easy-to-use virtual desktop framework. The remote work era and the need for business continuity will drive more IGEL success, and I’m pleased to be here to be a part of it.
